Evaluation and Treatment Packages

 

It has been our experience, that the most effective interventions with couples are in brief formats, with several sessions occurring initially very close together, i.e. weekly at the least.  At the same time, when paying out of pocket, it can be tempting to spread the sessions out.  This usually doesn’t work.  The partners have not had time to practice new behaviors and, with the lapse in time, slide back into old patterns of frustration and hopelessness.  The goal of treatment is to break up such patterns and when that occurs, the couple is more successful.

 

Therefore we are offering packages that will make treatment much more affordable and effective.  Our assumption is that by encouraging more sessions in a briefer time span, you will achieve relief and success more quickly.

 

Our fee for an initial 75 minute session is $195 and all other sessions are $165.  Our normal evaluation consists of an initial session with the two of you, an individual session with each partner and then a follow-up with both partners.  The total cost of these four sessions then is $690.

 

Evaluation Package:  Flat fee of $550 for the complete evaluation.  Evaluation sessions can be spread out over four appointments or combined into a single half-day session, but must occur within one month from the initial interview.

 

Treatment Package:  Contrary to some of the mythologies about treatment, the average successful marital treatment is accomplished in less than 10 sessions.  Based on that, we are offering a treatment package on top of the evaluation package for $1300 for up to 10 sessions to be accomplished within four months of the initial treatment session.  You may find that you don’t require all the sessions this would provide but you would still be ahead financially when compared to paying for individual sessions. Plus with this savings there would be little incentive to spreading out sessions to a harmful degree.
